Around US $ 1,599.45 million in remittances were sent by Bangladeshis living abroad in August of the fiscal 2023–24 year.
According to data made accessible by Bangladesh Bank (BB), 43 private sector banks received $1,376.02 million in remittances while 18 state-owned banks received $183.19 million.
Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. received the largest remittance ($340.17 million), which was sent to Bangladesh.
