Police reported on Sunday that four masked men had stormed a refugee shelter in the town of Sebnitz in the eastern state of Saxony.
Police claim that the group entered the building through the rear door before holding an Afghan citizen, age 18, against a wall.
The 16-year-old resident of the home was then hit with things thrown by the four assailants. Police claimed that while carrying out the attack, the suspects yelled xenophobic epithets.
After additional occupants arrived at the scene of the assault, the men left the house.
The 16-year-old was unhurt while the 18-year-old received medical attention right away.
Despite searching the neighborhood, police were unable to find any suspects.
The Dresden police security unit announced that it was looking into the offenses of trespassing, verbal abuse, and dangerous bodily injury.
