During meetings with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Friday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated that his country is prepared to support efforts to end the situation in Ukraine in any way feasible.
“Regarding Ukraine, thank you for your words. You can be certain that if the UAE can play any role in stabilizing the situation, in humanitarian issues, we are ready to assist in any way possible,” the UAE president said.
The president of the UAE also commended Putin for his efforts to improve ties between the two nations. He specifically pointed out that the involvement of UAE businesses in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was evidence of the expansion of bilateral relations.
“We are set for a strong and robust relationship. I am grateful to you for that,” he concluded.
The two presidents discussed the positions of the UAE, which is attending the forum as the major guest, at a meeting on the margins of SPIEF on Friday.
