By providing a built-in virtual number, Nagad, the mobile financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, has been able to assist its female consumers in avoiding phone harassment, protecting their privacy, and reducing instances of fraud.
According to a press release, the Nagad virtual number enables users to take advantage of all services even after concealing their mobile numbers because such numbers serve as substitutes for MFS customers’ real mobile account numbers, halting the practice of phone stalking and fraud cases.
Nagad has effectively enabled numerous women to experience complete freedom when it comes to making a transaction by ensuring such a secure platform for financial transactions.
According to MFS operators, there have been instances where women have been subjected to fraud or abuse over the phone.
This occurred as a result of their cell numbers being made public while they conducted business at service stations.
Because of this, many women were very cautious and avoided using banking services at agent points unless they were absolutely necessary.
