Registration for Joy Bangla concert kicks off

Registration for the Joy Bangla concert began today with a massive rush among young music fans eager to take advantage of the special fusion to bring Bangladesh’s past to life through music.

This year’s performance will be held on March 8 at Army Stadium in the nation’s capital and will be managed by Young Bangla, one of Bangladesh’s top youth networks, and the Centre for Research and Information (CRI).

Since 2015, Young Bangla has hosted music concerts to rekindle among young people the spirit of Bangladesh’s Liberation War.

To access their e-tickets, concertgoers are urged to enter into ticket.youngbangla.org.

The participants will need images of their ID papers with their photos on them as well as passport-sized photos for registration. Along with NIDs, passports, driver’s licenses, and ID cards from their educational institutions will also be recognized.

The performance this year is scheduled to include well-known and up-and-coming bands from the nation, including Artcell, Avoid Rafa, Lalon, Chirkutt, Cryptic Fate, Karnival, Meghdol, Nemesis, and Arekta Rock Band.

The young people who used to jump, scream, and dance to rock music with western influences and patriotic songs from World War II are now optimistic about recapturing the electrifying energy that the pandemic stopped for the past two years.
