At the Bangladesh Innovation Award 2023, bKash, the nation’s largest MFS provider, earned the innovation award in four categories.
According to a press statement issued here today, it won accolades across a number of categories for its innovative and creative services, including digital savings through bKash, remittance service through Payoneer, and bKash payment speakers.
“Best Innovation in Community Engagement” award for freelancer community involvement effort on “Payoneer to bKash” service. “Best Process Innovation” award for unique services like savings at three banks and one financial institution using the bKash app.
Also, it received awards for “Best Innovation (Product Development)” and “Best Innovation (Finance Innovation in Other Financial Institutions)” for the services of Payoneer remittance export and “bKash Payment Speaker,” respectively.
At a ceremony held at a city hotel yesterday, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the state minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), presented the prizes to Chief Product and Technology Officer Mohammad Azmal Huda, Chief Communications Officer Mahfuz Sadique, and other top executives of bKash.
The awards, presented by Bangladesh Innovation Conclave, honor inventions and concepts that have improved people’s lives.
As a result, out of 16 categories this year, bKash has received prizes in four of them.
It should be mentioned that in past iterations of the Bangladesh Innovation Award, bKash also won the best prize in a range of categories for a range of innovative services.
