The General Assembly on Friday adopted the United Nations’ 3.396 trillion dollar yearly normal budget.
The budget for 2023 is more than that of 2022, which was $3.122 billion.
In addition to political affairs, international justice and law, regional development cooperation, human rights and humanitarian issues, and public communication, the regular budget also includes work of the UN in other fields.
The global organization has its own peacekeeping budget, with a fiscal year that ends on June 30. The annual budget is included in the regular budget.
