In light of the current state of the world economy, Bangladesh and Russia have examined opportunities for collaboration in the energy sector, notably renewable energy.
Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, the prime minister’s energy adviser, recently met with Alexander Mantytskiy, the Russian ambassador to Bangladesh.
According to the Russian Embassy in Dhaka, they expressed interest in carrying out collaborative projects to expand the country’s nuclear power sector and boost Bangladesh’s gas business.
The summit also emphasized the “high degree of cooperation” between Bangladesh and Gazprom EP International BV and Rosatom, the Russian government-owned nuclear energy firm.
