Joining hands to make migration work for the benefit of all in Chad

In Chad, insecurity and climate change have resulted in the forced displacement of more than 1 million people.

One of the top organizations, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), protects vulnerable migrants throughout the vast, landlocked nation of north-central Africa and provides critical humanitarian and development help.

However, we rely substantially on our partners and do not do it alone.

The focus of this World Humanitarian Day 2022 is on IOM employees and partners who, in one way or another, help to make migration safe and respectable for everyone.

Seven examples of people doing good deeds, seven anecdotes of humanitarians.

They serve as evidence that where people are in need, others are reaching out to help. Their stories reflect just a small portion of the thousands of humanitarians around the world.
