Due to “mild” coronavirus symptoms, Queen Elizabeth II has cancelled her planned virtual engagements for Tuesday, according to Buckingham Palace.
After testing positive on Sunday, the 95-year-old president was still suffering from “moderate cold-like symptoms,” but would “continue with minor tasks,” according to a spokeswoman.
The 95-year-old monarch will continue to perform “light duties” at her Windsor Castle residence, with any future engagements to be chosen at a later date.
“As Her Majesty is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms, she has decided not to undertake her planned virtual engagements today, but will continue with light duties,” Buckingham Palace said.
The Queen had tested positive for COVID-19 and was having minor symptoms, according to the palace. The Queen had no scheduled public appearances this week, with the exception of several scheduled video meetings, which have been canceled. In the case of the monarch, light responsibilities usually allude to reading state papers from her red box.
