UK tells its nationals to leave Afghanistan immediately

As combat between Taliban terrorists and Afghan security forces increases, the British government has ordered all British citizens to leave Afghanistan immediately.

On Friday, the Taliban ambushed and assassinated the director of Afghanistan’s government media center in Kabul.

Following the withdrawal of international soldiers from the country, the British Foreign Office warned that “terrorists are quite likely to try to carry out strikes.”

“Specific attack tactics are changing and becoming more sophisticated,” it warned. “Kidnapping is a serious threat all around the country.”

Britons will not be able to rely on the UK government for an emergency evacuation, according to the UK diplomatic service, which regularly updates travel recommendations for countries all over the world.
