One lakh 720 doses of Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine will be administered following Monday (June 21) to prevent the deadly coronavirus infection. The practical application will be started in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Pfizer doses will be given to 120 people who have not been vaccinated even after registering. A source in the health department said on Saturday (June 19).
Health Minister Zahid Malek is expected to be present on the day of the inauguration of the experimental application of the vaccine. Most of the 120 vaccinators will be doctors, nurses and health workers.
It is learned that after the experimental application, everyone will be monitored for seven days to see the side effects. Pfizer vaccines will then be given simultaneously at Sheikh Russell National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital and National Ophthalmology Institute, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
Pfizer’s vaccine arrived in the country on Emirates Airlines flight EK-572 at 11:15 pm on May 31. The Department of Health says Pfizer needs refrigerators with temperatures ranging from minus 60 degrees to minus 90 degrees. Can be kept at 2 to 5 degree Celsius for five days. And it can be kept outside the refrigerator at a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius for two hours.
