Johnson’s vaccine got approved in Bangladesh

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been approved for emergency use to prevent a deadly coronavirus infection. Today (Tuesday), the Department of Drug Administration gave this approval.

Johnson’s vaccine can protect up to 7 per cent. The advantage of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is that it is a single dose. In other words, one quantity of this vaccine is enough. The rest of the corona vaccines approved in the country are in two doses.

According to a statement from the Department of Health, the line director, MNC & AH, Department of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka, has applied to the Department of Drug Administration for approval of emergency use of the corona vaccine produced by Janson Kilg International, Belgium.

In the light of that application, the Department of Medicine Administration evaluates the dossier (clinical trial part, CMC part and regulatory status) of the vaccine.

The local representative of this vaccine in Bangladesh is MNC & AH, Department of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

It says the vaccine is suitable for people 18 years of age and older. It will be provided to persons of specified age as per the deployment plan of the Government of Bangladesh. The vaccine is a single dose, and its storage temperature is 2-6 সেল C.
