More than 800 doctors died in India, the highest rate is in Maharashtra

India is in turmoil due to the second wave of epidemic coronavirus. Everything from oxygen to hospital beds is wailing. The administration is even struggling to bury the dead. Many doctors in the country have already lost their lives trying to serve Corona patients. Even in such a reality, the doctors of the country are serving the patients day and night without losing their morale.

As of Friday (May 7th), 864 doctors had died in Corona, according to the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Of these, 736 people died last year. As of April this year, another 128 people had died. And as a state, Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths. So far 168 doctors have died there. Of these, 34 died in April alone. 89 doctors died in Tamil Nadu and 80 in West Bengal.

According to the Maharashtra Health Department, 18,000 doctors in the state have been infected with corona so far. Many nurses have also been affected by corona. According to the statistics of the health department, this number is 4,217.

It is learned that more doctors between the ages of 50 and 60 died in the second wave of the corona. Even many young doctors have died. Some of them were also vaccinated.
