Singapore has imposed a ban on Bangladeshis in the ongoing Corona situation. Apart from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have also been banned.
Lawrence Aung, deputy head of the country’s inter-ministerial Covid-19 task force, confirmed the matter to the media on Friday (April 30th).
He said the ban would also apply to those who have obtained prior permission to enter Singapore from the Singapore authorities. You will not be allowed to enter Singapore even if you have permission in advance.
A notification to this effect was published on the website of the Ministry of Health of Singapore. It said the ban would take effect on May 2. According to the decision, no one from those four countries will be able to enter Singapore.
Those who have traveled to these countries in the last 14 days, even those waiting to enter on transit visas and have traveled to these four countries, will not be able to enter Singapore from May 2.
