Turkey is going to lockdown from next Thursday

Turkey is going through an all-out lockdown to stop the spread of the epidemic. This restriction will be in force from next Thursday till May 16.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in the announcement that the government has taken strict measures to avoid a terrible situation in the near future.

He further said in the cabinet meeting that the ‘stay at home’ rules should be strictly followed. All educational institutions will be closed. The online teaching program will continue. The administration will also take strict action on the use of public transport. Logical reasons have to be shown when traveling to other cities.

Meanwhile, the incidence of coronavirus has suddenly increased in Turkey. The death toll is around 39,000. A total of 47 lakh infected.
