Russia’s opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has been on a hunger strike in prison for three weeks, is in Moscow over the issue. Anger is growing among the locals after one and a half thousand protesters were detained from the protest. They strongly condemned the Putin administration, demanding the immediate release of all protesters, including Navalny.
If Alexei Navalny is not released, the French government will impose sanctions on Russia. If he dies, Putin and his administration will face trial. Hopefully, the Russian government will reach a solution before taking such drastic steps.
Representatives of EU member states, including Norway and the Netherlands, also condemned the incident and demanded its immediate release.
