The wreckage of Thai missing submarine Recovered

Rescuers believe all 53 passengers on the missing Indonesian Navy submarine KRI Nangala-402 have died. The Indonesian armed forces said on Saturday (April 24th) that search teams had recovered some items from a military submarine.

A statement said the oxygen supply had been depleted by Saturday morning.

Rescue officials say, The rescued wreckage proved the ship had sunk, with detectives locating the submarine about 650 meters underwater. Among the items recovered were a lubricant bottle and a torpedo protection device.

Earlier, the Indonesian navy said the submarine had to be rescued within 72 hours. Because the ship has enough oxygen to last three days. The submarine must be rescued by Saturday (April 24) to get the sailors alive.

The German-built KRI Nangala-402 submarine is thought to have gone missing in the early hours of Wednesday (April 21st) in waters about 80 miles (96 km) off the coast of Bali.

KRI Nangala-402 is one of the five submarines of Indonesia.

It was built in the late 1980s, according to Reuters. In the middle, it was taken to South Korea for repairs. Two years later, in 2012, the repair work was completed.
