China’s corona vaccine trial approved in Bangladesh

This is the first time that a Chinese vaccine has been approved by the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) for ICDDR,B for a phase three trial in Bangladesh.

Approval for vaccine trials in the country was granted after applying by ICDDR,B. The coronavirus vaccine may initially be Implemented on health workers at eight government hospitals.

Earlier, China gave final approval to the coronavirus vaccine. On June 29, Yahoo News reported that a Covid-19 vaccine made by the country’s military research arm and Sancino Biologics (7175.HK) has been approved for use in the human body.

The vaccine that has been given to Bangladesh for trial will be open to all if it is finally successful. If China can successfully develop a vaccine to prevent coronavirus, the country will give priority to Bangladesh in all areas of cooperation and assistance. This was stated by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy Huang Yan.

 

On June 21, Deputy Chief of Mission Huang Yan said, “Bangladesh is our important friend and Bangladesh must be given priority in this regard.” He also said that Bangladesh and China are working closely to deal with the coronavirus situation.
