Inadequate ICU and oxygen management has become one of the biggest problems in the healthcare sector. As well as the whole nation, Districts of the Chittagong Hill Tracts region are also suffering the same problems. In such a situation, the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board (CHTDB) has decided to distribute oxygen cylinders in all 3 districts.
CHTDB has announced to provide 48 oxygen cylinders to the district Hospitals in Rangamati, Bandarban & Khagrachari to alleviate the oxygen crisis. 16 oxygen cylinders will be provided in each district.
Hon’ble Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board, Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura has confirmed the news.
CHTDB Chairman confirmed the oxygen cylinders would be formally handed over to the concerned authorities of all 3 districts on June 21. These oxygen cylinders will be provided to ensure the health care of the common people of the three hill districts.
Beacuse of oxygen cylinder crisis in hospitals in three hill districts hospitals, In addition to corona patients, medical services for general respiratory patients are also being disrupted.
Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura also hoped that the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board would do everything possible to address these issues based on its capabilities and opportunities.
