Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and his family have recovered from the coronavirus (COVID-19), the leader of the ex-Soviet nation badly hit by the pandemic announced on Monday.
“We have just received the results of our repeat tests,” 45 years Pashinyan said on Facebook. All of his COVID-19 tests and those of his family were came negative, he added.
Nikol Pashinyan declared on his birthday, June 1, that he and his family had tested positive for the coronavirus and he would be working from residence.
The decision came nearly a month after Armenia elevated a state of emergency that imposed in March to slow the spread of the COVID-19.
Pashinyan conceded last week that the country’s health care system was overwhelmed and he has previously indicated his government failed to enforce anti-virus measures.
Armenia with three million people, has struggled to contain the pandemic. As of Monday, health officials have registered 13,325 cases and 211 deaths.
