Stormy winds can blow over seaports in coastal areas in Bangladesh. Therefore, the meteorological office has asked to show warning signal number 3 in all the seaports of the country.
This afternoon, meteorologist Abdur Rahman stated that there is a lot of variation in air pressure in the North Bay area. As a result, strong winds may blow over the coastal areas and seaports of North Bay and adjoining Bangladesh.
According to a warning issued by the Meteorological Office, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Payra and Mongla seaports have been asked to display warning signal number 3. Coastal districts of Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jhalokati, Pirojpur, Barguna, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barisal, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar can be flooded by higher tides.
The meteorological office has asked the fishing boats stationed in the North Bay to approach the coast and move cautiously until further notice.
