Authorities in Saudi Arabia have decided to impose strict restrictions during Eid as coronavirus infections continue to rise in the Country. A five-day Eid-ul-Fitr curfew will be imposed across the country in this eid vacation to fight the coronavirus, the country’s interior ministry announced.
Saudi Arabia is the worst-affected country for coronavirus in the Gulf region. The country is struggling to prevent coronary disease. According to a statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency, a complete nationwide lockdown will be imposed from 23 May to 26 May.
Previously, As the epidemic spread in the country, most of the areas came under complete lockdown. Since last month, the government has relaxed the curfew from 9 am to 5 pm. Infections are on the rise in some places even amid severe lockdowns.
Shopping malls and retailers have been allowed to open in the country, but cities like Mecca have been closed. The country’s health ministry said yesterday that 264 people had died of coronavirus infections in the country. The number of people infected with corona is 42,925.
Movies, restaurants and airports have been closed to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
