Bangladesh Cricket star Shakib Al Hasan told that the suspension imposed by the ICC was a lesson for him to experience life in a better way.
Shakib is currently staying in the USA and spending time with his wife and daughters. He flew to the USA in March during the primary outbreak of coronavirus in Bangladesh. Sakib and his wife Shishir was assuming their second child. They were blessed with a baby girl on April 24.
The Bangladeshi all-rounder was banned for two years in October 2019 for neglecting to inform several corrupt approaches that were proposed to him. One year of his suspension is suspended after a couple of months and he is expected to return to the cricket field in October 2020.
“I am in the USA currently. I have been passing times with my family since March. I was unable to stay beside my wife when she gave birth to our first child. But this time around, I am with her. But it feels bad that I’m unable to play now. It will take five to six months to end my ban. If cricket resumes before that, I will not be able to take part,” Shakib stated in a live session with DW.
Sakib maintained that he is excited to restart from where he left off. He said his main focus is to playing again for the nation, And he wants to restart from where he left off. he claimed it as his lone challenge.
While responding to a question about his plan for the next ICC Cricket World Cup. Shakib said that the team always has a plan to do well as well as they also had some plans in the previous World Cup. Some of those worked well while some proved to be inappropriate. The next World Cup will take place in the subcontinent, which will create a big chance for Bangladesh also, He added.
