US provides $22m to Bangladesh for combating COVID-19

The United States government has contributed over 22 million US dollars to the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh to help the government’s ongoing efforts to adapt and respond to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

“As of today, the total U.S. government contribution for COVID-19 response support to Bangladesh amounts to over $22 million,” said Earl R Miller, US ambassador to Bangladesh.

Earl R Miller said it while a virtual launching service of a web-based instructional training class for Physicians of Bangladesh over COVID-19 with the assistance of the USAID.

US gives funding support through USAID and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that expands on more than $1 billion in health assistance gave to Bangladesh in the course last 2 decades.

Miller expressed the US was one of the primary countries that gave assets to Bangladesh’s COVID-19 readiness and response efforts.

This help, The US ambassador stated, combined with ongoing training and guidance from CDC and USAID public health experts and their partners, will keep on fortifying ailment readiness, recognition, and reaction frameworks.
