Latest Production of Turongomi ‘Ho Chi Minh’ has been premiered at the National Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on September 5, 2019. There were two stagings of the production at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm respectively. These ticket shows were open for all. The production- Ho Chi Minh is based on the life, journey, and philosophy of the legendary Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh.
Besides, Ho Chi Minh, the production also has showcased a glimpse of legendary leader Vladimir Lenin. This is the first-ever biography dance theatre in the world. Eminent artists, senior Government officials, diplomats, politicians, and journalists were present at the occasion.
On September 6, 2019, Ho Chi Minh was staged again for invited guests, at the National Theatre, after Vietnam’s National Day celebration by the Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh. “Ho Chi Minh-Biography Dance Theatre” is conceptualized, scripted, designed, choreographed and directed by Pooja Sengupta; music by Suman Sarkar. The performers of this 40 min long production are: Aminur Rahman Mukul, Pooja Sengupta, Soud Chowdhury, Sreyoshee Troyi, Susmita Lopa, Robin Basak, Md Farhad Ahmed, Faria Parvez, Lopa Adhikari, Susmita Adrika, Uzzwal Mondal, Plabon Rozario, Hasibur Siam, Aburbo Dhar, Niporna dey and others. Light designed by Atik Rahman. Makeover by MK Babu, Subhasish Dutta. The production is supported by The Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh.
On 21 January 2015, Turongomi premiered ‘Waterness’ – the first-ever dance theatre in Bangladesh. In past four years the repertory has brought many short length choreographies to its audience, but’ Ho Chi Minh’ is the full-length dance theatre by Turongomi after Waterness.
