International Migrants Day to be observed

The International Migrants Day-2018 will be observed tomorrow in the country in a befitting manner, elsewhere across the globe.

On the day, the government has chalked out various national programmes like other countries of the world, with the theme ‘Immigration Rights Dignity and Justice’.

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary-in-Charge Rounak Jahan came up with the information today at a press conference in the expatriate welfare ministry’s conference room.

Marking the day, a programme will be organized at Hall of Fame in city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center tomorrow where President M Abdul Hamid is expected to present as the chief guest.

Later, an international immigration fair and a cultural program will be
held.

Additional Secretaries of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment
Ministry Aminul Islam and Ahmed Muniros Salehin and Manpower, Employment and Training Bureau Director General Salim Reza, among others, were present.
