SAJIDA Foundation, in collaboration with Team Broken Earth (a renowned Canadian volunteer task force), has organized a three-day comprehensive training program for healthcare professionals to strengthen their capacities on High-Risk Labour and Delivery Management. The program, sponsored by Renata Pharmaceuticals Limited, took place during 11th to 13th September.
The three-day hands-on training took into consideration the high burdens of maternal and newborn mortality during intra and postpartum periods in Bangladesh and works as a highly relevant initiative in the improvement of care in this field for health practitioners. The course is designed to provide an understanding of the latest best practices and will help health practitioners in providing better care for women during labor, their fetuses and newborns and their families.
In addition to facilitating a world-class international training course for maternal and newborn care providers with the support and expertise of Team Broken Earth, SAJIDA Foundation also plans to formally consolidate its partnership with the dynamic Canadian Team to conduct training for healthcare professionals through SAJIDA’s Institute of Health Science. This will provide healthcare providers in Bangladesh the opportunity to strengthen their capacities by training with world-renowned healthcare experts through an internationally certified program.
Team Broken Earth is a non-profit volunteer task force that is comprised of over 500 doctors, nurses and physiotherapists from all across Canada.
