Grameenphone’s video streaming service, Bioscope LIVE TV Beta, has been nominated as the best mobile video content platform by Mobile World Congress in 2018.
Bioscope will be one of three products representing the country on the global stage. Bioscope offers an array of live TV channel options for its’ users with state of the art catch up TV feature, which allows users to recap shows that they might have missed out on.
In addition, to live TV, Bioscope has played a pioneering role by distributing fresh contents produced by some of the most promising directors in the country over the last one year.
Bioscope web platform has been released in 2016, and the android app has been released in August 2017. Since its release, it has continued to serve a large pool of user base and the app has been consistently ranked as one of the top video streaming platforms in Google Play.
The team behind Bioscope has the ambition to take the product to all the Bengali speaking audiences worldwide and with its current growth, the team is confident that Bioscope will become one of the first breakthrough product from Bangladesh to serve the entire Bengali population in the near future.
