Legendary Tagore song singer Purabi Mukherjee dies

Ms. Mukherjee was suffering from old age complicacy since long. A few days back, she suffered from viral fever. Since then, her condition became worsened.

Legendary Tagore song singer Purabi Mukherjee has passed away yesterday. She breathed her last at her residence in Kolkata yesterday in the evening. She was 83. She left one daughter to mourn her death.

Ms. Mukherjee was suffering from old age complicacy since long. A few days back, she suffered from viral fever. Since then, her condition became worsened. Her daughter will be in Kolkata from the USA on Friday and once she arrives, Ms. Mukherjee’s rituals will take place.

Ms Mukherjee sang on All India Radio since 1954. She has sung all over India and in different Asian and European countries.

Purabi Mukherjee was the teacher of music for thirteen years at the Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. She was trained by Debabrata Biswas at Shantiniketan.

He is passionate about automobiles. He is also the founder & trainer of Bangla Automobile School. He conducts workshops on automobile engineering at local level.
