Hugh Hefner, iconic founder of Playboy, is no more

Hugh Hefner, the iconic founder of Playboy magazine, passed away on Wednesday, at his home the Playboy Mansion, of natural causes. He was 91. Hefner was survived by his wife Crystal, sons Cooper, David and Marston and daughter Christie.

Many celebrities took to social media to express their grief post this news. Hefner’s son Cooper, who is also chief creative officer of Playboy, said in a statement, “My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom.”

In the list of others who shared their condolence are Playmate and actor Jenny McCarthy, who tweeted, “Thank you for being a revolutionary and changing so many people’s lives, especially mine.
