Radiation emitted by mobile phone towers is harmful to public health, the Bangladeshi government said in a report today.
A committee formed by Ministry of Health investigated several mobile towers in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The committee has prepared the report after the investigation.
Deputy Attorney General Kazi Jinat Haque placed the report before the High Court today. The HC bench of Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Md Salim fixed March 29 for passing an order on this issue.
The committee has suggested BTRC to investigate all mobile towers and to take action to maintain the standard of mobile tower’s radiation range given by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Earlier in 2012, the HC ordered Bangladesh government to examine mobile tower’s radiation rays and to submit a report. That report has been submitted today.
