A tremor jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country this afternoon.
The earthquake was felt at 4:37pm.
The epicenter of the 6.8 magnitude earthquake was at 25km West of Chauk, Myanmar and 500km from Southeast from Dhaka, told Syed Humayun Akhter, a professor of department of geology at Dhaka University.
The depth was 84.1 km at the epicenter, according to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/.
