Bhutanese Ambassador meets ICT Minister Faqir Mahbub 

Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee, the ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, paid a visit to Faqir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts and Telecommunication, ICT Division, and Science and Technology, today.

According to a statement, the minister and the Bhutanese envoy met at the Secretariat here.

They went into great depth about enhancing the two nations’ cooperation in the fields of information technology and telecommunications during the meeting.

The minister informed the envoy of the ongoing progress in the information and communication technology sector of Bangladesh, the expansion of digital services and future plans.

The Ambassador praised the development and progress of Bangladesh and expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation. 

Both sides agreed to work together to enhance mutual cooperation, exchange technology and develop digital services.

Among others, Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, Political Counselor of the Bhutanese Embassy in Dhaka Jigdrel Y Tshering and Counselor for Trade Affairs Dawa Tshering were present at the meeting.
