Today, Bangladesh and India talked about growing their healthcare collaboration, including AI-enabled services, pharmaceutical connections, and medical education, with the goal of bolstering both nations’ people-centered and reasonably priced health systems.
According to the Indian High Commission here, the topics were discussed when Pranay Verma, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, paid Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain a courtesy call at the ministry.
Senior ministry representatives and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. M. A. Muhith were also present at the meeting.
During the talks, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in capacity building, pharmaceutical industry linkages, medical education and digital healthcare services based on shared priorities and mutual interests.
They also discussed enhancing cooperation in public healthcare, including exchanges in medical research, advanced treatment, cancer care and traditional medicine.
The two sides emphasized the importance of people-centric initiatives to ensure affordable and accessible healthcare services for the populations of both countries.
