Social welfare minister visits govt children’s homes on Eid

Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain visited a number of government-run children’s facilities in the capital today in honor of Eid-ul-Fitr.

He went to Azimpur Chhotomoni Nibas, Tejgaon Children’s Home (Girls), and Mirpur Children’s Home (Boys).

During the visits, the minister inquired about the children’s well-being including their food, medical care and overall living conditions, as well as hygiene and food quality. He spent some times with the children, sharing in the joy of Eid and observed the facilities’ operations and environment, providing guidance to the staff.

Calling upon the affluent members of the society to support underprivileged children, the minister said that coordinated efforts between the government and private initiatives can bring significant positive changes for the children.
