Today, Parliament received over 133 ordinances that were passed during the last interim administration, which was headed by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
All of these ordinances were presented to the House today by Md. Asaduzzaman, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.
According to the nation’s current legislation, any ordinances that are promulgated while the Parliament is not in session must be posted on the first day of the subsequent session.
If the government wishes, these ordinances will be forwarded to the relevant ministries so they can draft bills and receive cabinet approval.
The Law Ministry’s screening will thereafter be completed.
All of these will eventually be presented to the Parliament for enactment.
