On March 14, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will launch the initiative to give religious leaders of all faiths a monthly honorarium.
An official statement from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting states that the inauguration event will take place at the capital’s Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 10:00 am.
Imams, muezzins and khadems of mosques, priests and sebaits of temples, principals and vice-principals of Buddhist monasteries, and priests and assistant priests of churches will also get monthly honoraria under the initiative.
The prime minister will formally launch the initiative at the ceremony.
