As Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma and Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir met in the capital today, Bangladesh and India expressed hope about deepening their tight bilateral ties.
According to a press statement here, the Indian envoy paid the prime minister’s foreign affairs adviser a courtesy call at the prime minister’s office in Tejgaon this morning.
During the meeting, the two sides held fruitful discussions on the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and India and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
They also discussed regional stability, trade, connectivity, and development cooperation, as well as the longstanding friendships between the two nations.
On the basis of mutual respect, trust, and cooperation, both parties reiterated their commitment to working for the benefit of the peoples of the two nations.
The ambiance of the conference was cheerful and welcoming.
