Health officials recorded seven fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours in Bangladesh

Health officials today said they recorded seven fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.

“We recorded seven fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8 am today,” a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said, reports BSS.

“Out of the seven fresh cases, one was hospitalised in Barishal division, two were in Chattogram division, one Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and two in Khulna division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year claimed four lives and inflicted 1,439 people.

The dengue last year claimed 413 lives and inflicted 1,02,861 people in the country.

Besides, the dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in 2024.
