Policies to be reformed to increase foreign investment in jute sector: Muqtadir

Khandaker Abdul Muqtadir, Minister of Textiles and Jute, announced today that policies will be changed to boost foreign investment in the jute industry.

“People are now increasingly interested in natural and biodegradable products. Jute is closely linked with the country’s heritage. Policies will be reformed to increase foreign investment in jute sector,” he said while exchanging views with officials and employees of the ministry at the Secretariat here.

In order to draw in international investors, we need to emphasize our competitive mindset, ability, and advantages on a global scale, stated State Minister for Textiles and Jute Md Shariful Alam. The government’s directions must be followed by everyone working together.

Bilquis Jahan Rimi, the secretary for textiles and jute, had earlier given a summary of the ministry’s overall operations.

The heads of the ministry’s lower-level departments and agencies, senior officials, and other secretaries Arifur Rahman Khan, Subrata Shikdar, and Raina Ahmed were in attendance.
