Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Mohammad Tajul Islam today expressed hope that the trials at the two tribunals will continue uninterrupted. “We hope the trials at the International Crimes Tribunal will continue. Although the government has not given us any specific instruction, it has indicated that the ongoing activities will remain uninterrupted,” he said while talking to reporters at the tribunal premises this afternoon. Referring to the newly sworn-in law minister’s remarks that the tribunal’s proceedings would continue at a normal pace, Tajul said that as long as they remain in office, the prosecution will carry on all activities in the normal course. He emphasised that continuation of the trial process is essential to ensure justice.
