Ryanair net profit hit by Italy fine in third quarter

Due to a heavy fine from Italy’s competition regulator, Irish low-cost airline Ryanair reported a steep decline in net profit for its third quarter on Monday.

According to a statement from the Dublin-based airline, profit after tax was 30 million euros ($36 million) in the three months leading up to the end of December, down from 149 million euros a year earlier.
