Italy visa applications suspended worldwide February 11–18

Due to planned technical maintenance of the Italian visa processing system, the Italian Embassy in Dhaka today announced a brief worldwide suspension of visa application submissions in mid-February.

The embassy issued an advice stating that due to technological maintenance, no visa applications of any kind will be processed at Italian visa offices worldwide on February 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18.

VFS Global was told by the embassy not to accept any withdrawal requests or visa applications during that time. Nevertheless, only extra documents that the embassy specifically requests for applications that have already been submitted would be accepted.

Applicants who urgently need to travel to Italy between February 11 and February 18 were strongly advised to submit their visa applications by early February, as the system may require up to 10 days to authorize the issuance of a visa.

The embassy urged applicants to plan their travel and visa submission schedules accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
