China says trade in 2025 reached ‘new historical high’

China said on Wednesday that commerce increased 3.8 percent year over year to a “new historical high” last year.

China’s overall products import and export value in 2025 was 45.47 trillion yuan, up 3.8% from the previous year. At a press briefing in Beijing, Wang Jun, the vice minister of customs, said, “The scale exceeded 45 trillion yuan for the first time, setting a new historical high.”
