Australia falls silent for Bondi Beach shooting victims

On Sunday, one week after gunmen opened fire on crowds at a Jewish festival, Australians fell silent in flickering candlelight in remembrance of the 15 victims of the Bondi Beach tragedy.

At precisely one week after the initial reports of gunshots at the well-known beach, the country observed a minute of silence at 6:47 p.m. (07:47 GMT).
