The creation of 2258 additional positions for the paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been approved by the government.
The Home Ministry’s announcement states that positions would be established for three battalions as well as a force hospital.
Bhuruingamari in Kurigram district, Thanchi in Bandarban district, and Meherpur district are the locations of the battalions. The Khagrachhari district’s Guimara Upazila is home to the Border Guard Hospital.
The order states that 32 posts will be made for the hospital facility and 742 postings will be made for each of the three battalions.
The BGB will have 59,735 employees overall after the new positions are created.
