Qatar’s emir condemns ‘continued violation’ of Gaza ceasefire

Following a string of lethal attacks on Hamas sites, the ruler of Qatar, a crucial mediator for the current ceasefire in Gaza, charged Israel on Tuesday with breaking the 11-day-old ceasefire.

In an annual speech to the Shura Council legislature, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani declared, “We reiterate our condemnation of all Israeli violations and practices in Palestine, particularly the transformation of the Gaza Strip an area unfit for human life (and) the continued violation of the ceasefire.”
