Phase one of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour (IPE) 2025 has begun between Australia and Bangladesh. The Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Bangladesh Armed Forces will engage in 13 days of cooperative activities from September 21 to October 3.
In keeping with the initiative, a press release from the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) stated that a seminar on climate security and energy resilience, overseen by the Bangladesh Air Force, got underway Monday at the Bangladesh Air Force Base Bir Uttam AK Khandaker in Kurmitola, here.
The lecture was opened by Air Vice Marshal Md Tariqul Islam, the BAF’s Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance). The Indo-Pacific Endeavour’s chief of staff, Group Captain Steven Henry, headed a 10-member Australian delegation that participated in the training.
According to the statement, the gathering also included academics, invited guests, and senior officials from the Armed Forces Division (AFD).
The seminar’s primary goals are to address the present climate security issues, investigate cutting-edge approaches to energy resilience, and showcase the potential of sustainable aviation fuels, all of which will enhance environmental sustainability and regional collaboration.
As part of the joint event, ISPR reports that many topical sessions will be held on the issues of climate security, the value of energy resilience in the defense industry, and the worldwide use of sustainable aviation fuels.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by distinguished speakers from the Australian Defence Force, Bangladesh Air Force, and Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies.
