The ranking of the top two percent of scientists worldwide includes twelve researchers from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).
In response to a recent study by Stanford University in the United States and “Elsevier,” the world’s largest medical and scientific publishing organization with its headquarters in the Netherlands, the list was made public on Saturday, September 20.
Eleven of the twelve researchers are educators, while one is a student. The list was created using the scientists’ publications, H-index, citations, and other metrics.
The professors of Bangladesh Agricultural University who have been included in the list are: Prof of the Department of Agricultural Energy and Machinery Dr. Ehsanul Kabir, Prof of the Department of Agricultural Finance and Banking Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Prof Dr. Abdul Majid, Associate Prof of the Department of Biochemistry and Anupran Sciences Dr. Md. Tahjib-ul-Arif, Prof of the Department of Plant Pathology Dr. KM Golam Dastagir, Md Saiful Islam, a postgraduate student of the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the university, Prof of the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene Dr. Md Tanvir Rahman, Assistant Prof of the Department of Aquaculture Dr. Md Fazle Rohani, Prof of the Department of Fisheries Management Dr. Md Shahjahan, Prof of the Department of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences Dr. Md Abdul Hannan, Prof of the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene Dr. S M Lutful Kabir and Prof of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain.
A total of 286 researchers from 71 institutions from Bangladesh have been included in this list of the world’s top two percent researchers.
